Negative taken of Mrs. Mattie Coulter Daniel, who was the first resident of Tollette, Howard County, Arkansas to receive a bachelor's degree. Mrs. Daniel graduated from Philander Smith College in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1912. She taught school in Tollette and neighborhood communities and later in the Oklahoma City school system.
